This program was born from years of experience working with leaders, I felt the most common missing aspect was…”awareness”.  One leader told me, “I came into this program thinking I had a lot of problems with my people.  Now, I realize, most of the problems are mine!”  A manager of a store preached customer service however never said a “hello”, “good morning”, “how is your day going” nor did he initiate any sort of interpersonal connection with his employees. 

People believe your behavior, not your words.  What is your behavior telling people?

If you are not clear on your priorities, someone else will set them for you!  And busy, busy, busy seldom leads to productive and meaningful.  Prioritize!  People blame time, I didn’t have time.  Stop blaming time!  It’s up to you!  What are the three things important for you to do well?  

In organizations where leaders are trusted.....1 in 2 employees are fully engaged!

Where people don't trust leaders: only 1 in 12 is fully engaged!

It seems contradictory to leaders, mostly to managers, that it is more productive to focus on individual strengths rather than focusing on overcoming weakness!  But it works and it engages people!

Lead by presence! Lead by alignment. Lead by feeling good.

You can't lead by words. People always look to your behavior and how you feel about them on the inside!

Who you are, how you show up, really does speak so loudly people can’t hear what you are saying!  Tom Peters once said he would have focused more on awareness had he known how important it was.  How are you perceived by others?  What impact does your presence make?
