A Walk About With Larry

Home in Colorado!

Colorado camping 109
From previous camping trip.

Yes, I made it home. After just under 30 hours of travel, I arrived at home. Then the struggle with staying awake another five or six hours to get my body back to this time zone. I got home around 3:00 pm, my flight was one hour early because of tail wind so I got an earlier shuttle! That was 5:00 am the next day where I had been. I succeeded in staying awake.

Now, it’s 3:00 am and I woke hungry so decided to upload the video I made on facebook for friends here who don’t have presence there.

New Stuff!

I slept through the night and woke to a bunch of new stuff here.

Long pants, tap water that is drinkable, making my own coffee and a need to go grocery shopping. Driving again after four months which was not bad. US dollars after so many different currencies but that came back quickly. People everywhere seeming to be in a hurry. Huge stores full of everything!

Cooking on my own stove! Furnace! Heavy jacket, really hot shower, GOOD COFFEE, Colorado sunrise and clear air. There was no humidity for the first time in months! YAY!

Snow capped mountains! Need to cook my own meals. TV which I hadn’t seen for four months. Very comfortable chair. Crocus blooming.

Lots of new stuff here. The weather in Colorado was 70° which was really good but still felt chilly to me.

Settling in.

I’ve already started sorting through things sitting around my setting house and getting a box to make it easier to move them. Read a clutter principle once named “G.U.T.S”….Give it away! Use it. Throw it away. Sell! I’m on it.

Traveling with and living out of a backpack creates a very simplified view of what is really important to have! With that feeling fresh in my life, I’m taking advantage of the clarity and making my space clearer and lighter.

Happy to be back home!
