Amazon nature adventure!  Preparing to load up the canoe and head out!  It’s a traditional wood canoe paddled from the front!   Achilles built a shallow wood platform to keep gear above water in the canoe. With the rain, he stopped regularly to dip the water out.  Fortunately, we didn’t have a lot of rain.

Peru!  Again!  Now, after nearly 30 years!  Wow!  Doesn’t seem possible!  I’d wanted to go to Peru for some time.  A Colorado hail storm aided my adventure.  The insurance check paid for my flight to Peru and Cusco.  After hiking the Inca Trail, I flew on to Iquitos for a jungle adventure.  Seems like yesterday. 

Hello from Bali’s East Coast: Candidasa! I left Ubud yesterday morning for Candidasa.  My Grab driver was there in a couple minutes after I booked.  That’s not always the case.  In some countries, I have waited close to 30 minutes and had several drivers cancel before someone finally arrives!  And, my driver was excellent!  Smooth. 

I’m packing tonight and leaving in the morning for the beach.  It’s a new spot for me!  I’ve been near there once before.  Now, I’m going to stay right on the beach in a place with a swimming pool!  I intend to soak up some sun and warmth on white sand!  When I get home,

It was raining hard and flooded in my hostel garden when I arrived.  It rained much of the day!  Everything was wet and damp!  The dorm here at Cabinas Tortuguero is basic, simple, comfortable and in this case, private!  After two nights, I moved to a private room!  It was nice to get everything dried

I’ve arrived in Tortuguero Massage, night walks, great shrimp, hiking early morning, good coffee, new freinds, bus rides and other transport.   I’m now in Tortuguero!   Time is flying by!  I have a few days here before going back to San Jose and my flight back to Colorado.  A few more adventures are in store first!
