Mandarin Homestay will be my second place to stay in Raja Ampat. It’s near a village which will be nice to broaden my experience. Not only is snorkeling good but there is the possibility of seeing the Birds of Paradise here.
I’ll be here over New Year Eve. Below is a link to their information on Stay Raja Ampat.
Arborek is the farthest island I will visit. From there, I’ll move closer and closer to Waisai which is the harbor for ferries back to Sorong. My last three nights will be at Corepen. It took quite a few attempts of juggling dates and bungalow request before I finally got confirmation. I’m intrigued to be staying in a place where I can sit and watch dolphin. They are called “lumba” in Bahasa which normally comes out as “lumba lumba!” with a lot of enthusiasm!

My final morning there, I’ll take a boat back to the harbor. A ferry will take me to Sorong where the airport is. One night there in a hotel named “You & Me” and I’ll be on my way early the next day. That all day adventure, roughly 14 hours of travel, will land me in Sri Lanka.
Another unique and new experience awaits me there!
Ciao!
