A Walk About With Larry

Kul Festival

I stumbled upon a cool festival in Kuala Lumpur. Beneath the station for the light rail was a canal. The side walls of the canal had been painted a turquiose color. I noticed a few vehicles along the edges of the canal with cans, ladders and boxes scattered about. People were doing something to the wall but I couldn’t tell what it was? After walking for hours around the National Mosque and the Lake Gardens District, I returned by the same path and was stunned to see what had emerged. Amazingly, the plain walls had been transformed into an art gallery!

They gave artist one day to finish their piece. I came back on Sunday and they were not across on the other side of the canal painting that wall. I’m experimenting with a gallery and am posting some of the photo’s here.

Enjoy!
