Colombia first travel adventure!

Bogota

I arrived in Colombia at Leticia after 36 hours on this slow boat coming down the Amazon from Peru. I found a great place to stay there and really enjoyed relaxing and recovering for several nights. From there, traveled to Bogota, which I didn’t really like. First of all it’s a huge city. Secondly I always felt like people were watching me and had to keep track of my phone and track my pockets. Just fell out a place to be on guard. I don’t like that feeling.

It was much more peaceful and relaxing in LETICIA!

I could stand on the road, and the motorbike driver would stop and give me a lift into town for a few patients. when I came back from town, I could literally feel the air turned fresh and relaxing. It was a great choice to stay out in the countryside where so peaceful and quiet. And I got to relax and chill out by the pool!

Now, I am in small and comfortable Salento

This has been a breath of fresh air for me! It is more walking, which has been good. But everything is very accessible. It is a tourist town prices are quite a bit higher. But I’m staying on the outskirts of town where it’s really peaceful and quiet and they have a hammock house!

I am staying at Coffee Tree Hostal here in SALENTO! I highly recommend it!

I Made this video to give you an update on my recent travels

My morning ride in the Willy‘s Jeep heading back to Salento

below are some random photos of my time in Columbia

A 130 year-old espresso machine. Local pool hall. Sunsets. Local life. The place where three countries come together. The bluish map showing the Coffee country I’ll be traveling through.

Just a variety of experience experiences that I’ve had here!

It’s been delightful, and tomorrow I head off to this town near the Hot Springs. There’s two different Hot Springs there so I have plan to have enough time to go visit both of them.

After that, I go to a village named Chinchina, and stay on a rural remote family owned coffee farm for a couple days!
