Yes, I know some of you don’t have Facebook or seldom check it. I’ve been picking up signals in places I never expected with the sim card in my camera. Thus, I’ve made a few video’s from places I’ve hiked, biked or boated. Below are the latest.
Hiking video’s from Hsipaw!
First one was just a curious test! I walked, got lost, walked, asked directions, got perfectly lost and wandered for a couple hours through farms of vegetables, watermelon, rice, etc. Curious, I pulled out my phone and surprisingly, had a signal. This clip is from that moment.
Even more remote, standing at the base of the waterfall, I was curious once again! Sitting in my living room, with Verizon as my mobile phone provider, I often had to sit on one tiny area to have a signal. Now, in the middle of no where in Myanmar, I had a strong signal. Here’s that view!
Yesterday, I was on an all day boat trip on Inle Lake. We left here at 5:20 and were scheduled to be back at 4:30. Sadly, a couple people actually believed the “Schedule” and were really tight on having time to shower, eat and get their overnight bus. Me, I was later than I wanted for my Burmese massage, such a hardship!
Three videos show the beginning of our trip around sunrise, travel through one of the lake villages and then a final clip as we were headed back home.
Second video, through the village.
Final video as we were headed back to the village.
BONUS…
Actually forgot I made this video! It was from the Garden Cafe by the pagoda and temples across the river from Mandalay. There were two rivers that day. The first was the natural one we crossed by ferry. The second was the hundreds of Chinese tourist who descended en-mass. The cafe was indeed an oasis of peace and relaxation in the midst of so much noise and rude behavior. Ahhhhhh!
And now, I’d write some more but….I have to go get one final Burmese massage! Whew, such a busy schedule here!
Ciao!
