I’ve heard that there are only four names for people in Bali. I’ve also met people who didn’t have one of the four names. So I knew something was up? Today I met Wayan Johny. Wayan for being first born. Johnny a nickname his father gave him.
Of course, people often choose an informal name to go by. I went on a diving/snorkeling trip with Johnny Walker and Jack Sparrow, met James Bond, had Yoda arrange flight tickets for me and met a number of Mario’s here.
