Today, I’m in Kochi, India after flying in yesterday! I’m in the older colonial part of town. Last evening, I walked to the beach for the Bob Marley concert. I asked who was playing and was told, “Bob Marley”! This morning, hearing music and drums beating on the street, I witnessed a “Bob Marley” parade. Apparently, he is thought of highly here!
I have fast wifi so plan to post a couple galleries of photo’s from Sri Lanka. This morning, I moved to a different room which is very deluxe! I have private bathroom, big bed and air conditioning.
Plans for today: make some plans for being here! Yesterday, I had an appointment with a local Ayurvedic doctor people recommended who has been working in the field over 35 years. During her consult with me that included pulse diagnosis, fingers, tongue and basic blood pressure information, she told me a I had NO problems! Very good!
After the massage, realizing that one of the reasons I came to this part of India was for the Ayurvedic experience, and I don’t resonate with it! That might change. For now, I’m regrouping and making plans for what I want to see here and maybe in other parts of India.
There is a HUGE carnival happening in Goa soon so getting tickets to reach there is very difficult! And I’m not eager to be around crowds of people! Today, I’m going to do some reading, let things settle in and see what unfolds.
What is clear at the moment is taking a trip South to the back waters country and exploring some. And, I’ll head up to the hill country for hiking and perhaps exploring another tea plantation.
For now, I’m in an awesome place…Tantraa Home Stay! The humidity here is stifiling! I’m going searching for some black fabric dye as my khaki colored shorts look dirty in only a few hours. Then lunch before retreating to my cooled room for the hottest part of the afternoon!

There, that will catch you up a bit! I went for a walk this afternoon exploring and finding lunch. Thought I would melt! The humidity is the highest I’ve experienced this trip and I’m weary of it already! Evening’s cool here a bit. I’m sitting quite comfortably under a fan around 5:00 pm now and it’s ok!
