Got on plane @ 9:30 am. Close connection in Houston. But then…..
Hmmmm! Houston flight now landed in Austin. Bad storm & plane needs fuel as planes circling for an hour or more. Not going to make my Houston flight in 20 minutes. Called and saved seat on last flight of the day Houston to Mexico City.

Good news bad news, after nearly four hours waiting. Good: we have clearance. Bad: must be in the air in 15 minutes!
Arrived in Houston just before 6:00. Saw that the 2:20 flight was boarding for 6:04 departure. Minutes to spare. RAN through airport and made it. Got window seat in empty exit row with lots of room! Rest of plane was full!
Late night but happy to have made it!! Two people on my flight going to Ecuador and Seville, Spain probably had endurance challenge flight!
Arrived at hostel after lots of confusion at airport! Finally a man walked me down some back sairs to a street and got a taxi for me. Was only $50 pesos, roughly $2.5. Hostel charged $125 pesos to get back to the airport the next morning.
I was able to translate for man at hostel speaking no Spanish looking for food. Now, I have invitation to stay with him when I visit the Goa, India area.
