Forecasts are predicting low temperatures around 16°F in the morning. Temperatures on arrival in Kuala Lumpur will be around 90°F with rain and high humidity. What a transition!
The months since I purchased my ticket have flown by! Now, I have my final packing and preparation with plenty of down time to relax before leaving! I’m feeling very blessed to know how to do this and to be heading off on another experience soon!
Dreaming!
Dreaming! Yes, the image below is from my Balinese families home, Sandat Bali. In a couple months, I’ll be relaxing and warming my bones there. This cold snowy morning, it is very warming to feel what I felt in that photo. Not long now!
Travel Transformation!
Final hours before departure! It feels as if my body is changing, literally. As I pack, I am packing from the perspective of “TRAVEL” Larry, not LIVING ROOM Larry.
And abruptly, the planning, research, preparing, booking, scheduling, and such, it all gives way to simply settling into travel mode!
Relax. Be present. Enjoy the experience. Know everything is always working out.
And POOF! Suddenly, I’ll be walking the hot and humid streets in China Town, Kuala Lumpur.
Then, listening, smelling, looking, savoring, walking, experiencing, all aspects of the travel mode take over and it’s almost like I’m a different person. Or at least, I’m absorbed in a different experience or reality.
Soon, that’s the world I’ll be immersed in!

I’m so excited to experience the sounds and smells and interactions of SE Asia. The people are wonderful. The food is amazing. The ability to walk or take public transport wherever I want to go is liberating. I’m imagining all the new friends I’ll meet and the conversations we will share.
I’m thrilled to immerse myself in nature again embraced by the comfortable blanket of humid, warm air and the feeling of vibrant life waking and singing each morning.
