Surprised to have not been able to get online. When I went to Jaffna, my friend told me they had fast wifi there. When I got there, it had difficulty loading a page!
I didn’t resonate with Jaffna other than the sunset beer on Jet Hotel roof top bar with my new friend David from Madrid. Very different energy.
Decided to travel to Trincomalee on the coast. Six and a half hours on the bus and I made it. Whew! Lovely little spot named Lali’s Beach Villa. I splurged on AC room with private bath after five or six nights of not sleeping much! Great choice! With extra charge for AC, the room is still under $20 US.
Now, staying two extra days to relax before heading to Negombo and the airport to fly on to India.
Wifi at the villa’s doesn’t work with my laptop. Recommended place at “Cafe on the 18th” hasn’t had wifi since the end of tourist season. Now here at Fernando’s sitting six feet away from the router and MAYBE….I’ll be able to post this and load my email!!??
Spent about 3 hours this morning on a boat whale watching. No whales but nice adventure with people from Canary Islands, Israel, Spain, and other countries.
Still hopeful I’ll be able to update and post photo’s before long. As soon as that’s possible, you’ll get an update!
