A Walk About With Larry

Acupuncture and food in KL…..

Yesterday, I struggled attempting to make plans.  I did that for a while until I realized one thing:  I was struggling!!!  So I let all that effort go!  Struggle never works well with travel.

This morning, I woke with clarity about what felt good for next steps on this trip.  After letting go, everything was free to shift and order itself.  The result:  clarity!  I love that!  Yay!

Two days ago, I had tried, unsuccessfully, to book tickets on AirAsia for tomorrow morning.  After multiple attempts, it never would complete!  This morning, when I realized I was mis-counting my days in Bali which would result in a one day overstay (fine of 300,000 rupiah and a potentially nasty interview), I changed plans.

When I went back online to book my ticket for a Sunday morning flight, it went right through!  No problems!  Perfect!

Then I extended my stay here by one night.  The front desk even suggested I book it online as that would be cheaper.  It was and it booked easily.

The last thing I did, I booked a room in Ubud.  That had been another sticking point.  I’ve debated which place to stay.  This morning, it was obvious and available and affordable.  It is in the section of town where I want to start my stay and was available for a discount rate.  I’m all set!

Flow and ease, they are always there just beneath the surface.

This morning was my second acupuncture session!  Once again, it was amazing!  She told me my “chi” energy is really strong and that it began moving even before she placed needles!  My neck and back are much more relaxed than before!

At one point, I started to feel dizzy and light headed!  She had placed a couple needles in my arms and the rush of energy that opened up entire system wide was amazing!  Wow!  One of her colleagues came to talk with her.  Both of them have been to a 10 day retreat for Vipassana meditation, her friend more than once.  Her friend asked some questions about my energy and I was answering her question before she finished asking.  I learned a lot and am very grateful for this experience.

Later, I decided to go walk around a section of town I had not seen before.  Apparently, it’s the new hopping night spot.  I wasn’t very hungry, still full from my lunch of daal, veggies, rice and ginger tea, so took photo’s.  One street clearly was the “BAR” street with club after club.  One section of that street was the “massage” area or….”Mister, would you like a lady”.

I walked along Jalan Alor during the afternoon.  It was pretty deserted when I went through.  And it was hot!  I went in to another of the huge shopping centers here and had a coffee with bagel.  That was more expensive than anything meal I have bought here.  And the place was full of young people and locals.  Apparently, there is a bit of an economical surge happening.  Strange seeing so many huge buildings going up and construction cranes everywhere!  It’s changing communities.

Here’s a gallery of photo’s I took from wandering that area.  You’ll see the street quiet earlier and then witness it evolve into full blown evening dining mode.  Notice the coconut ice cream photo’s!  Interesting side note there as well.  After my acupuncture, I asked what would be good for me to take to support my liver flushing the result of our work together.  She told me coconut water would be great.

After scooping my ice cream into a coconut half-shell, he told me to wait a moment.  He picked up a pitcher and poured the liquid into a glass and offered it to me.  Yes indeed, it was coconut water.

Enjoy the photo’s!
