Days are now dwindling! In one week, I fly home. Yesterday was a full day. Several hours of cycling around Merida followed by coffee at Cafe Riqueza. Then loading packs and walking over a mile to the bus station. Scoring on a great restaurant right across from the bus station. Five plus hours on the bus. Now here in Bacalar.
Tomorrow, it is on to Tulum for the final five or so days. Two and a half hours by bus then settle into final hostel and explore favorite spots and changes in the village since last time. warming up so hopefully it holds up for the duration.
Warm, sunny, breezy and gorgeous waters here today! And lovely shrimp sope’s for lunch! That was after the ice cream appetizer. No worries about the calories. In flip flops, we walked over 20 miles around Merida in three days. What lovely exploration!
