This morning, waking to my last day in Ubud, I felt like having a lazy day and maybe going into the country for a motor bike ride. The weather looked good, the skies clear and a ride to the rice fields to take some photo’s of green sounded appealing. Once I saw just how clear it was, I headed to the third floor of the new building next to the one I’m staying in.
Yesterday, I felt certain I would go see Tjokorda Gde Rai today. This morning, I was reconsidering that urge as I’ve has six healing sessions and a Melukat at the Holy Water in Sebatu this past week. Perhaps that’s enough?
Up to take a photo, I captured the movie posted here:
On the way back to my room, I suddenly felt an urge to go see Tjokorda Gde Rai. Boom, just like that, clarity pounced and I followed through. Packed and down the stairs, I walked right into Bayu, got his keys, picked up helmet and was not he road in a few minutes. This was the first time driving myself there and I’d only seen him once. Directions sounded simple and clear. One more time, I left not knowing if I would find it but certain I’d have an enjoyable adventure. Down the hill, to the main road, compound on the right hand side, park and walk into the compound. No cars or motor bikes were around? Unsure if I had the right place, I said hello and kept walking into the compound.
A few more steps on the sidewalk and there it was, the space where I met him several years ago and he worked on me when Wayan brought me. He stood and approached asking what I needed help with? I told him we had met years before when I came with Wayan and wanted him to look at me.
Once again, I arrived at a healer’s space when NO ONE was around. Highly unusual compared to past experiences, I felt grateful for another experience without a crowd waiting or a healer perhaps feeling impatient. Bert was there from Holland. He comes twice a year and is studying with Tjokorda Gde Rai, and was sitting with notebook in his lap. We had a wonderful conversation while Tjokorda Gde Rai got prepared.
Once he was ready, I sat in front of him and he proceeded to work me over. Even though I’ve had multiple sessions, each healer has done something very different from the others. The same was true of this session. He started with my head and worked over the ears, jaws, top of the skull, sides of the skull, down toward the back of the neck, etc. Down to my feet, back up to my head, around the knees, oil aided a little massage pressure to the sides of my thighs and rib cage. He used a sort of wooden stick in his healing practice. This day, he used it to draw patterns which I felt were moving energy around my body, arms, legs, chest, etc.
There are no words I can use to adequately describe the experience. Experience must be felt which was very true of this one. I felt hot, energy moved through my body, my hands and arms tingled. Pain surged through my toes and disappeared. Once he was done, I felt absolutely peaceful, calm, centered and connected to myself. If you could capture the essence of an “Ahhh”, then simultaneously transport that “Ahhhh” feeling to every cell of your body, that would be close to describing what I felt afterward.
He told me there was nothing wrong physically. Only stress and tightness which was released now.

Like that, listening to a clear and strong sense, I walked into one more great experience in my journey. Here or back home in America, listening and acting on that clear guidance feed the same experience: ease and flow, being in the right place at the right time with the right people, magic!
Tomorrow morning, I’m on the 6:30 shuttle to the fast boat and the Gili Islands. I may not have any contact there for a while so if you are looking for updates, be patient. I’ve decided to take my laptop along rather than leave it here in storage since I’ve so enjoyed writing.
Until next time!
Ciao……
